Well, the tabloid wedding of the year has been and gone, many dresses were donned, many selfies were snapped and many, many flowers were sellotaped to a wall, for some reason. Talk of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding is pretty much unavoidable today so, in the event that you didn’t spend your precious weekend fervently refreshing your Instagram feed or violently scrolling through the Daily Mail’s Column of Shame, we thought we’d confront it head on and give you a quick 30 second run down of what went on over the course of the celebrations, with the help of some over filtered pics.
1. The rehearsal dinner took place in the Palace of Versailles, Paris, where Kim donned this daring number:
We’re guessing there was tape involved. Lots of tape.
2. And Lana del Rey performed in glistening gold…
It’s rumoured she was paid nearly $3million for the honour. Which isn’t bad for a day’s work.
3. Kim’s pearl-encrusted hen night dress was by designer Olivier Rousteing.

4. Her crew donned mainly black leather and enjoyed a night out in Paris.
We’re guessing the gal in the white left of centre is off the Christmas card list…
5. The family managed to squeeze in lunch at Valentino’s house in Paris before the big day.

6. Kim wore a sheer-back lace Givenchy gown for the ceremony.

This is the photo circling at the moment showing a whole different style to the gown Kim wore at her previous wedding (should we mention that?) but it looks like we’ll have to wait for the magazine spread to see the dress in full.
7. The wedding took place in 16th Century Castle Forte di Belvedere, overlooking the city of Florence.

The Forte de Belvedere is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
8. But not everyone welcomed the couple and media circus with open arms…
Prince Ottaviano de’Medici di Toscana, whose family built Forte di Belvedere is none too happy about the whole thing. From the Telegraph: “the event will represent a ‘danger to the cultural integrity and historical authenticity’ of the region.” So there…
9. The guests seemed to enjoy the photo booth.
And shared MANY selfies of their printouts on Instagram.
10. Entertainment on the big day included John Legend, who serenaded guests with his song “All of Me”.
This photo isn’t from the wedding, but you get an idea of how it looked. Oh and Andrea Bocelli apparently performed too.
11. There was a great big wall of flowers…

12. More importantly, the menu included lots of scrummy Italian food.

Which we’re sure everyone ate with gusto. Except maybe the pasta… Or anything with dairy in it… Or the desserts…
13. Beyonce & Jay Z sent their best wishes (Kim’s brother Rob didn’t fancy the trip either)
The couple decided to hang at the Hamptons for the weekend instead of attending the big day. Bey posted this picture on Instagram with the caption “Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family”.
14. And the best news? Kimye are currently at a castle near YOU…
The couple are honeymooning in Cork for five days this week – Cork we tells ya! Possibly at Castlemartyr Resort, according to the DM. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…
