Fiona and Adrian met at their previous place of work. This is their proposal story from Fiona’s perspective:

“When we spoke about getting married Adrian always said it would never be on an occasion so to me that cancelled out a lot of things. He said it would be when you least expect it! So we went away December 2021 we always went away for our anniversary which was the 11th December so thought nothing of it. So to my surprise on the 12th December he proposed at Torc Waterfall in Killarney which we were 5 years together the day before. It was just perfect and that was another special date we had.”

“Our wedding theme was autumnal vibes as I love this time of the year and so does Adrian. We always knew we wanted to get married during Autumn or Winter. Just love the colours!”

Fiona wore an off white wedding dress by designer Pronovias which she bought at Love Ellie in Virginia Co. Cavan. Adrian wore a 3 piece suit which he bought in Eddie Murphy’s in Ballyhaunis Co. Mayo. It was a navy colour suit, grey waistcoat and a white tie.

The wedding party wore champagne colour satin draped neckline dresses which were purchased from the Preloved Page on Facebook. They were never worn with tags on so Fiona was happy and so were the bridal party. These dresses were perfect and worked with the theme. Also the girls can wear them again and that’s all Fiona wanted too.

“We had a traditional Irish wedding which was held in my local church in Riverstown Co. Sligo. It was such a beautiful ceremony by Fr. Yashin. Music was played by the incredible Barry Hughes.”

“From the beginning of our wedding right up until the day of our wedding Mary Clarke was exceptional. I had heard great stories about the Diamond Coast and Mary Clarke and believe me they did not disappoint. The food and the entire staff we could not fault it. Anything you asked was never a problem! Mary Clarke and her team went above and beyond to make our special day one to remember.”

The wedding was perfectly captured by Bokeh Photography on photos and videos:

“Our photographer was Dez from Bokeh Photography who captured our beautiful day perfectly. Loved how you didn’t even know they were around us and captured all the special moments that we have forever.

Our videographer was Liam from Bokeh Photography! He also did an incredible job capturing the most precious moments that we look back fondly on. Liam and Dez worked so well together and put us at ease from the moment we met them.”

Fiona and Adrian say that their favourite memory of the day was all of it!

“We just loved the whole atmosphere from the beginning to the very end. We didn’t want it to end. Also marrying my best friend is a big highlight and having my wonderful granny there to see our special day. A moment we will cherish forever more!”

We love asking newlyweds for their wedding planning advice! this is what Fiona and Adrian said:

“Don’t stress the little things as everything falls into place. Enjoy every moment of your wedding day because it goes so fast. It really is the best day of your life.”
