Is my preferred date available?
If you have a specific date in mind check if it’s available before planning a visit.
Do you offer seasonal discounts?
Friday and Saturday during the summer will always be the most in demand dates. Most venues have different pricing structures for the time of year and day of the week with mid-week dates during the quieter months being cheaper.
What packages do you offer?
Many venues off all-inclusive packages which may include table decor, cake etc. These packages are helpful if you are sticking to a specific budget.
How many weddings do you host per day?
Larger venues will have space to host two or three weddings on the same day. If you want exclusivity on the day, discuss this during the venue tour with the wedding coordinator.
What is the capacity?
If you’re having a a large number of guests, around 200 + you should always check that the venue can accommodate your numbers. Don’t fall in love with a potential venue only to find out they can’t host your guest numbers! Most venues will include their capacity on the wedding details of their website.
Do you have a preferred supplier list?
A preferred supplier list from your venue will make the rest of your planning journey easy. Each venue will have compiled a list of suppliers such as photographers, florists and decor companies that they recommend and have worked in the venue many times before.
What is the payment schedule?
This will likely be your largest wedding expense so knowing how it will be paid off will help you decide if the cost is doable or not.
