I’m especially passionate about weaving old Irish and Celtic traditions into modern ceremonies in a way that feels fresh, grounded, and actually relevant, not performative, not stuffy, and definitely not one-size-fits-all.

As an Interfaith Minister, I welcome people of all beliefs, backgrounds, identities, and family dynamics. I’m not here to make your ceremony fit a template or anyone else’s idea of what it should be. I’m here to help create something that feels honest, heartfelt, and deeply reflective of your story.
My style is supportive, calm and personable. You can absolutely have a ceremony that is joyful and light-hearted, while still feeling romantic, sincere, and full of meaning. I’ll guide you through it all in a way that feels easy, natural, and never overwhelming.
I’m also one of the most experienced celebrants at the Cliffs of Moher, and I’ve helped hundreds of couples bring their dream ceremony there to life. If you’re drawn to Irish traditions, nature symbolism, or something spiritually rooted without feeling too formal or heavy, you’re in very safe hands.
Although I’m based in the Midwest of Ireland, I travel nationwide, and if the ceremony calls for sunshine and a suitcase, I’m open to persuasion.

Lisa did such a wonderful job of hearing our story and writing a beautiful, heartfelt, and very personal ceremony for my wife and I's wedding. We'd already decided ahead of time that we wanted to have one of our friends officiate it, so Lisa took the time to give her the ceremony script, coach her through it, and even deliver the custom-woven handfasting cord we'd had made through her to the venue ahead of time, so our friend could perform that part of the ceremony for us. Lisa was such a wonderful celebrant for our special day! She was so kind and made it seem like she really knew us despite the fact that we only met through Zoom because we are from Canada. Eloping can be stressful but she was very quick replying to our emails and our questions. The ceremony was really representative of us and everyone present said that it was perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing about our special day and we are glad that Lisa was a big part of it.

Lisa and her ceremony was more than we could have imagined for our wedding. Not only is she a gorgeous person inside and out, she is an extremely talented wedding celebrant. She made everyone feel calm and comfortable, and she put together and delivered the most beautiful ceremony full of love and laughter for us. It represented us so well as a couple. We were so very fortunate to find Lisa to be our celebrant for our 32nd/8th wedding anniversary vow renewal (Leap Day). Our journey started 6 months before the date with consistent communication and guidance through the planning of the ceremony script, location, and ceremony. Stop looking - you have just found her! Celebrant Lisa O?Brien is the absolute best, and I feel confident that you would be hard-pressed to find anyone else quite like her! Leading up to the wedding, Lisa offered several types of ceremonies. We kept in regular contact and had a lovely Zoom call that really helped ease our nerves. We knew we were in good hands and received fantastic advice from Lisa.

Leading up to the wedding, Lisa offered several types of ceremonies. We kept in regular contact and had a lovely Zoom call that really helped ease our nerves. We knew we were in good hands and received fantastic advice from Lisa.
We are extremely grateful that Lisa was a part of our big day. All our guests loved her, and she created such a warm, loving vibe in the room.

We got married on the 3rd August 2023 at the Lakeside Hotel Killaloe by the loveliest Lisa. She was amazing from the very moment I contacted her. She captured everything we wanted in our ceremony and more and made it so personal to us as a couple, many people have commented on how personal it was to us and our life story so far it was fab.
In our ceremony we had a poem about rare people in it and how those rare people can make a lasting impression on us, well Lisa is one of those people, she has the kindest and gentle soul and makes you feel so calm especially on the big day itself.
She was an absolute dream and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Lisa is to work with. I couldn't have dreamed of anything better when it came to the ceremony that she created and facilitated for us. At dinner afterwards, everyone was commenting on how beautiful it was. My sister-in-law told me it seemed like Lisa has known us our whole lives and created something beautiful from that, even though it was all organized while we were on a different continent.

We couldn't have asked for a better person to curate and look after our amazing wedding than Lisa. Myself and my wife have been so happy since our ceremony last week and it wouldn't have been the same without Lisa's guidance and input. Not only was the ceremony beautiful, but Lisa kept us up to date with every format change and every detail.
In terms of wedding prep, Lisa instantly sent us questionnaires and organized a video chat to meet us and get an idea of what we wanted our wedding to involve. The sheer amount of options and ideas that Lisa presented was impressive and by the time we'd finished the call, we had a very strong idea of what would be happening. Shortly after we received a script for the wedding. Not only that, but Lisa was amazing when it came to answering our questions and providing support when it came to writing our vows. Everything was clear, and everything happened perfectly.
The ceremony itself then was like a dream come true. Lisa brought an enthusiastic, caring presence and helped everybody feel so relaxed and comfortable despite the insane amount of emotions and nerves. The ceremony turned out to be unexpectedly relaxed and light hearted, and any time myself or anyone else had a slip and silly moment, Lisa helped it all to be embraced and accepted.
We couldn't have asked for a better day, and we are so thankful to Lisa for everything she has done for us. She has created some amazing memories. Short of saying we would absolutely choose her again (not that we are planning on being married again!) all we can say is that we highly recommend Lisa for anyone who wants an amazing celebrant for their wedding!

We got married 3 weeks ago and were lucky enough to have Lisa as our celebrant. She is the most genuine and lovely person. She put so much effort into making our ceremony so very personal, basing it all on our story. She told our story beautifully and with a few laughs aswell!! Lisa was so great to deal with from the minute we booked our ceremony right up to the end. She helped and guided us throughout our drafts of our ceremony. We got married last year and Lisa was our celebrant. Our experience with her was absolutely amazing. From our first conversation we were absolutely sure everything will be perfect. We had a lovely ceremony. We are not native English speakers and Lisa allowed us to make personal vows in our native language. It gave us a lot of comfort, and made this day really, really special. Lisa was a constant source of calm for us during our wedding. Having asked Lisa to be our celebrant pre-covid times she was there throughout the pandemic ensuring us always that as it related to our wedding everything would be perfect, and she was right. We wanted our day to be a little bit different and Lisa was always helping with creative ideas for our ceremony. We got married last week, and had Lisa as our celebrant, and it was the best decision we made.. she was so easy to deal with, and on the day of the wedding she knew exactly what she had to do, and what we had to do, and she was so helpful. Lisa was such a calming influence on us throughout the ceremony as the nerves and giggles had set in. She also introduced herself to everyone that attended and was so friendly and warm towards them. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a celebrant, u won't regret it.

We got married on the 12th Aug 2021. Lisa was our celebrant. From the moment I spoke to Lisa on the phone to inquire about our wedding, I knew she was the person for us. Lisa is such a warm, caring person. She did her utmost best to and exceeded in giving us the ceremony of our dreams. She made sure we were completely relaxed, she created a ceremony that included our four children. There was laughs, there was tears and an abundance of smiling faces. Nothing was too much hassle, no questions left unanswered. I would highly recommend Lisa if you are getting married. What she does is special.

Lisa was everything and more we could have dreamed of for our wedding. She is kind, cares about you and strives to make your day the most special day of your life. She exhibits a warmth that made our elopement to Ireland feel like we were getting married at home surrounded by family. We chose the ritual of the Celtic Handfasting as one feature of our ceremony and she even went all out as to braid the two strands in the colors that mean so much to me and my husband. As far as the preparation goes for our wedding, she was very responsive, sent drafts of the ceremony script first and changed them when needed and sent back the revised draft super quick, she had wonderful suggestions when we didn't know what to incorporate, she answered any and all questions we had.
We are so grateful to have met her and truly hope we will get to spend time with her again some day!
