Barnardos Bridal

I visited Wexford and Dun Laoghaire bridal shops last August. Jackie and Phyllis were so helpful. I loved a dress from both shops but picked one from Dun Laoghaire in the end which I loved and felt so comfortable in on the day. There was a good selection of dresses and sizes to choose from in both shops. Would highly recommend wedding dress shopping here. Thank you, Nicola

Met Phyllis when myself and my daughter arrived. Such a lovely lady, and she put me at my ease immediately. I had my heart set on a Tea dress, and these seem less popular than your long wedding gown. We had a couple to try on, but we settled on one in particular. It needed some alterations to fit me, and Phyllis dressed me up with shoes, belts and all accouterments to give me an idea how the dress could look on my big day. She even brought us around to the local seamstress where I again tries on the dress to see what was needed. Unfortunately for me, it required more adjustment than I was happy with, so had to walk away empty handed. But this was because I was very clear on my dress style. There was loads of very beautiful dresses there, and many people get their dream outfit at Bernardos Bridal. So I would highly recommend you make an appointment and have a look. As you don't know what you might find in Barnardos Bridal, I didn't want to get my hopes up too much when I went in last August. It was 11 months to my wedding, I was in no rush. But I fell in love with a beautiful dress.
The ladies in there are fabulous, so kind and genuine and as myself and my mother balled our eyes out they were delighted for us. They reccommend somewhere for alterations and Marie advised me to hid the dress away and not look at it. I took her advice and loved it even more when I wore it on my wedding day.
You don't know what you will find, my dress was totally different to what I thought I wanted, but the ladies are experts and so helpful and sincere. I'm so glad I found my dress here but even if I hadn't I'd reccommend it!!

Maire was so nice and helpful to me - I went in mostly to get an idea of what they had and what kind of price, and kept an open mind when it came to style. She was really knowledgable, full of handy tips and not pushy at all. Even though I don't think I found 'the dress' this time, I will certainly be coming back for another look!! I couldn't believe how good value the dresses were, and in perfect condition.

Was my frist visit 2day at d bridal shop n i was so nerves i was meet at d door by a very lovely lady marie n she just cudnt do enough for me she maid me feel so at home n d dresses wer so amazing i found my perfect dress which i am so plzed wit so i wud defo try der b4 goin anywer eles n its such a good cause so just want 2 say a very big thank you again 2 marie

I went with little expectations first reason, I'm a size 8, mini me, and secondly; I knew the selection therefore might have been limited. I went with my eyes open. I found they had a great selection. With the help of Maire, she narrowed down my selection. She went above and beyond her role of duty. Very happy with dress and price. I was happy that I did not purchase at top end bridal shop as it ment more hours looking and probably more confused, my decision was made little over an hour. Over all great experience & very happy.

I bought my dress and veil from Barnardos early last year, and the girls were lovely in the shop, great selection of dresses, they also have shoes/tiaras, big bright room you can walk around in, well worth a visit!
