Gareth is a true gentleman, he could not have made planning our ceremony easier if he tried. He has such a calming and kind presence, so relaxed yet incredibly organised, so funny and performed a gorgeous ceremony that was so special to us. Nothing was a problem, he was so flexible, knowledgeable and gave such great and down to earth advice. We shopped around for a celebrant and spoke to a few people, we didn’t vibe with anyone until Gareth! He was funny but serious and we really liked him! A week or so before the wedding, we had an hr call to run through all the details and poor gareth had to chase us till the day before the wedding for our vows but had them printed and ready to go on the day!! on the day, he was fantastic, he stopped by both our rooms to check in. Gareth is an absolute dream addition to any ceremony! We booked him for our wedding in October 2025 at Darver Castle, and from our first meeting to the wedding day, he was incredibly professional. We had the pleasure and privilege of getting married not just once, but twice, with Gareth!

We chose to marry sooner than originally planned due to family circumstances. Gareth took a call on a Friday afternoon where we explained the urgency of the situation, and we were married less than 24 hours later. That ceremony will be held so dearly by us, our family, and the friends who were able to attend. Gareth not only facilitated the ceremony, but brought such warmth and compassion to it that lifted everyone’s spirits. He so calmly handled everything for us at a time when we needed it most, and we will be forever grateful beyond words.

When it came to the “big day” a few months later, we felt like we already knew Gareth like a friend. That day, of course, showcased his brilliance - his humour, light-heartedness, and genuine love for a celebration. So many of our guests commented that Gareth’s ceremony was a highlight of the day, and several friends have said he’s a must for their future weddings, which really speaks for itself!

Not sure was it that he is a fellow Louth man or if it was his humour and kindness that he displayed on the day but we knew our search was over. Gareth was incredible. He made our ceremony so special. We have been to a lot of weddings as guests where the ceremony feels like legal jargon all parties are just trying to 'get through'. It could not have been more different with Gareth. So many of our guests were saying they wished they had used Gareth for theirs, or asking for his contact details to use for their weddings in the future. Gareth was the celebrant for our wedding day on 23.09.23 and what a dream he was to work with!! Gareth was so responsive throughout the planning, and took time to meet us before the wedding for a full run through, which really put our minds at ease for the big day.
On the day itself, Gareth came to meet me and my bridesmaids to chat through everything and it was so nice to meet him in person, he added so much to the prep. Gareth spends so much time getting to know us, to know our story then develops a unique detailed way to tell it back based on everything he knows and it was a highlight of our day hearing someone create this story about us. He created booklets for our vows which we will frame, and designed the pages for our readers as keepsakes. On the day he had a box of must have including tissues and suncream, each detail is thoroughly thought about by Gareth before the day.
